Detox 360 Program

Welcome to the Detox 360 program. I am expecting significant benefits for all during this program and am very excited for you!

Even though you will have weekly webinars and a comprehensive workbook to follow, this blog space is provided to provide the opportunity for you to ask questions, share successes and failures, share recipe ideas and so much more.

This blog be completely interactive as a group. Personally, I will provide special attention on this blog to reply to your questions and concerns. My associate Lynda Buitrago will also be participating in this blog for you benefit.

I will share that the blog participation plays a significant role in the success with the Depke Wellness programs, and I expect the same with the Detox 360 program.

Congratulations on your participation!

  2. I'm all in : ) As soon as the package arrives, I'll read through materials and set some goals. In the meantime..

    I have a question!!

Since I have an adrenal issue and your past recommendation to me was not to do any aerobic exercise for awhile -- what do you you suggest for the "exercise" portion of this program for me? Is the walking ok? I usually think of that as "aerobic" so I don't know what to do.

    1. Way to go Jeanette...happy to have you on board again! I would suggest that you stick to the walking for the time being.

  3. Another question --- I don't have access to a bathtub where I'm staying (only showers). Is there any way for me to modify the detox baths that I heard mentioned in the webcast so that I can get some benefit? (I assume these may be Epsom salt baths of some sort)>

    1. Since you do not have the use of a bathtub, see if you can get to a infrared sauna. There may be a center that has one near your location. A rebounder would also help.

      Delete
    2. Hi Glen -- I'm a little confused. What is a rebounder? Is that an exercise thing? I thought I should only be walking, so I'm a bit confused. (If you are talking about the mini-trampolenes, I guess I'm not supposed to use one right now since I have a neck injury and pt said no running/jumping.) I might have an option for bathtub now -- just not for every day - so I guess it will still work OK for the program. I should be OK : ) We just had major flooding here in Chicago, btw... Lucky I went to Whole Foods late last night!!

      Delete
    3. A rebounder is a small round trampoline. This can still be used with adrenal issues and vertebrae challenges. The rebounder absorbs most of the impact. Just make sure you do not go crazy on this. To be honest, rebounding lightly is less of an impact on your vertebrae than walking on cement.

    4. Hello everyone, Jeanette another suggestion if and when you consider using the rebounder. It's an excellent way to increase detox through your lymph system. For your safety, a couple of things to note: There is a deflatable cervical collar (it pumps like an innertube) and you can wear that while you rebound. Another key note: Rebounders vary in price from $50.00 to hundreds. I own a very inexpensive one, and found it just as effective. So, don't be discouraged by $$. You can find them at your local sporting good store AND some brands fold in half and also come with a stand for balance/support, so there's no chance of you falling or loosing your balance. For more info on how they work, some fun videos go to: http://www.bellicon-usa.com (hope that helps)!

  5. OK everyone, I am all in also! I will also share that my goals for the 30 days is to get down to 194 pounds, rid my self of any lingering gut inflammation and to increase my brain function. Of course I want to feel absolutely amazing also...

  6. This is for those the are sensitive to supplementation. I would suggest starting with only one scoop of the clearvite and 1 teaspoon of the omega 3 oil in your smoothy. Also use just 2 drops of the homeopathics for the first three days. If this is too much, use only one drop. Use one capsule of metacrin-dx per day for the first few days also. Use half a scoop of the nourish greens also. If any of this does not seem to work for anyone with sensitivities, let me know right away.

  7. can you have beef/pork with this plan? they mention chicken, turkey & fish. Should we stay away from the others?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes, you can have beef and pork if you are a mixed or protein type. I would suggest making organic and grass fed choices during this program though.

  8. Remember, no fried foods. Even though the workbook says to cut back on alcohol and coffee, it would be best to eliminate ASAP.

  9. I wanted to confirm that everybody received their shipments no later than Wednesday. If you did not receive this, please let me know ASAP.

  10. There seems to be a discrepancy with nightshades and tomatoes. Tomato is a nightshade along with peppers, eggplant and potato. In one part of the workbook it mentions to eliminate tomato but includes tomato in many recipes. Tomato and nightshades in general are fine for most. As mentioned in the workbook, these have a negative affect for about 24% of those with inflammatory conditions. If you use nightshades, I would like you to be aware of inflammatory symptoms such as:
    - Ongoing, irritating pain in the body (like the joints or muscles)
    - Allergies or asthma (especially when they keep getting worse)
    - High blood pressure or blood sugar problems
    - Ulcers and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (constipation or diarrhea)
    - Constant fatigue or lethargy
    - Skin problems or red, bloodshot eyes

    1. Very good info Glen, I was also confused by the contradictions in the manual...but you cleared it up for us..thanks!
I would feel deprived if I couldn't have my 3 color bells...I love them...and the tomatoes are so important for eye health and pH alkalizing!..I'm a happy camper!

  11. Make sure you get in the bathtub some time soon to take your Epson salt bath. This is a part of your detox lifestyle. If you want to take this a step further, I offer a combination of Chinese herbs in my office call Bath Detox. This has a very strong detoxifying factor.

  12. Is it normal to run a slight fever in the first week of this program? I seem to be running one and feeling some bladder/kidney issues going on. Don't know if this is just a normal response to the detox or if something else is going on.

    1. That definitely can be a symptom of detoxification. It this occurs, stop everything for one day and then go back at half a dose for a few days until returning to the full dose.

  13. Hi Glen, I've reviewed the information as well and plan to begin everything Saturday morning. (without bragging here...) this is truly a doable program. I'm ready for week 3/4...but I'll be a good sport and start out with everyone. I will be taking the prescribed doses on all the supplements and drops. I'm a veteran of 3 years on all this stuff!
Best wishes to everyone!!! We are gonna get so darn CLEAN! Whoohoo!!!

    1. Way to go Lesli! Yes, I am with you, this is very doable. Actually for my "More Than Just Weight Loss" veterans, this will also be a piece of cake. I am equally excited for the "cleanliness" we are all going to experience.

  14. Make sure everyone gets in their minimum of 3 servings of fruit daily. The fruit has a very strong detoxification property that is a part of this program.

    Enjoying your baths everyone?

    ReplyDelete
  15. For those with sensitivities, if you notice that the supplements are working well for you after a few days, you can start increasing slightly.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ok...so I cheated today...what I mean is I already did my 25 minute FIR Sauna and a detox bath! Now I just need to get the program outline figured out...meal planning...and I'm good to go! I'm eyeballing that beautiful Salmon Glen advertises...yumm!!
I wanted to mention something I have learned about fruits for those who might be wondering which fruits? Depending on whats available locally and you do your best to buy organic (yes it really does make a difference)...these 3 fruits have great detox benefits. For anyone dealing with insulin issues, I recommend you ask Glen for his opinion, since he's the captain of this ship...ahoy mates! :O) Oh...so the fruits...mango (removes the cholesterol buildup in the gallbladder), papaya has excellent digestive enzymes (papain) and last but not least watermelon, it's a natural diuretic and is one of the most alkalizing fruits available...enjoy your fruit (with Glen's approval of course!)

    1. Lesli is correct with the properties of each fruit mentioned. We will each have a deeper understanding of fruit choices once we address Nutritional ID.

Thank you so much for your input Lesli!

  17. I am still waiting for a few Nutritional ID scores from some in the Detox 360 program. Please be sure to get this to me prior to Tuesday.

  20. Hello everyone! It seems that not too much conversation has taken place the last few days...do we still have a crew of ship mates, is everyone on board? Well, in any event. It's day 6 for me, and I've been gliding along fine (partly due to my focus on home repairs and business travel) so I haven't had much time to just sit, breathe and see how I feel. Honestly...I'm pretty tired today. BUT I take that as an indication the drops, nutrition and detoxification is working. My goal is to exercise 4-5 X week (only 40 minutes each day) nothing major! and have 3-4 FIR Saunas a week and the same for detox baths. I think both of those added to the meal plan increases and improves the effectiveness and reduces the energy swings most people experience with detoxing. We have a full moon today, which represents the end of a cycle. So tomorrow I expect to regain some energy and continue on! I hope everyone is doing well and find this program as easy as I have. It pays to slowly eliminate your unhealthy foods a couple weeks prior to beginning a detox plan. I hope some other participants will contribute some of their experiences. Don't be shy...who's next?

  21. I just wanted to check in to make sure everyone is following the new dietary and supplement recommendations that started on Wednesday for week 2. Remember that if you are symptomatic:
    - Drink more water
    - Cut back to one Metocrin per day
    - Take more Epsom salt baths
    - Sweat
    - Increase your drainage homeopathics

  22. Remember, get a massage this week as a part of your detox lifestyle.

    1. Hi Glen! I think I forgot one of the most "pleasurable" ones on the list! Thanks for the reminder! After my yummy salad, I'll check out some local "massage parlors"...hey now...that's what we used to call em back long ago!! How about a local" wellness day spa"...yah, that's more like it! :O))

    2. 3 of us on the program enjoyed 90 minute massages yesterday afternoon. I love a detox lifestyle!

  23. Today is one week on the program for me...so far so good. The first few days I was battling caffeine headaches and very lethargic. Started feeling better and tomorrow starts week 2 with supplements/diet. Other than the withdrawal symptoms of caffeine..haven't noticed too much else of a difference.

    1. Hi Christine! So glad you came "on board" to share! Very good to hear your experience has been without too many side effects! Keep up the good work...hey we should all take pics of ourselves before and after!!! I think I'll do that now, before I start to trim down too much! Have a great weekend!

  24. This is the end of my first week also and I have to say it has been a bit hard. I have been very tired and dizzy all week. I'm one of the sensitive people so I have not increased my supplements except for the drainage. The hardest thing (and I believe why I have been so tired) is trying to eat enough. I'm trying to find snacks, and time to eat them. Also I need to exercise more and take more Epsom salt baths. It is hard because I work two jobs, one of my jobs is massage therapist :-) and I have been working a lot this month. But my stomach has felt good this whole week so I'm liking this detox!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Great job Diane! If symptoms are too great, remember only one Metocrin per day and only one scoop instead of two Clearvite. This with the increased drainage should help you.

Grab your Epsom salt bath at the end of your night. Not only will this help with releasing toxins but after a long day of body work, the hot bath should be very soothing for you.

Very happy to hear about your stomach.

  29. I hope everyone has enjoyed the reading and DVD "Water is Life."

Remember in week 3, we are using the Clearvite smoothie as a meal replacement for breakfast and dinner. Protein types may need a couple of bites of a preferred protein just prior to eating your shake.

For protein and mixed types, a small protein snack prior to bedtime may also help with sleep.

  30. Does anyone have recommendations for a water filter system?? Right now we just use the Brita water pitcher. Was looking at the AquaSana and read some good things about it...Anyone have thoughts?? Thanks!

    1. Christine, AquaSana is a good brand. They have shower filters too. Affordable. Also, if you want to learn the importance of healthy LIVING water, regardless of your choice of brands to purchase, this will provide a good education about what water is and is not! 31. Personally, we have a reverse/osmosis system in both our home and office, so obviously that is my preferred. Here's a great article with different options.

    http://www.foodmatters.tv/articles-1/what-water-filter-should-I-be-using

If you chose reverse/osmosis, be sure it has a minimum of 4 filters. I have seen some 2 or 3 filter systems that are cheaper but do not do the job.

  33. Can I continue the detox another week or two to finish up my supplements? This has been a tough week. I was very tired and craving everything from sweets to fried chicken (and I don't even like fried chicken)! I tried eating more then tried eating less then I just decreased the supplements I was taking and I'm better. I would like to keep going until I wake up with all this energy I keep hearing about. :-)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes Diane, you can and it is suggested to continue with all the supplements until they are completed. I would recommend that at the completion of week 4, go back to one meal replacement shake per day and two meals with snacks if needed. Often the cravings are tied into a lack of fat in your diet, so be sure to include some avocado, olives and some coconut cream with some regularity.

      Delete
    2. Also make sure you are doing what you can to assist with detox such as Epsom salt baths, sauna if available and lots of water. A massage would be awesome also.

    3. Hi Diane Johnson...Lesli Remington here...I am a few days behind everyone, I started late due to my work schedule, and due to all those things that 'get in the way". So, I wanted to comment (even though I understand you are on the last leg of the 4 weeks)...but you have all the good intentions to extend out your program for ultimate benefits.. if I might share here, intuitively I hear you tell us that your cravings are (and I'm a veteran of many detox's and fasts over my almost 60 years...ughh what a number...LOL) what I believe to be what you are experiencing is detoxing more now on emotions than physical symptoms!! You are needing more rest for sure! This may seem very odd, but we absolutely deal with an emotional "letting go" and ridding of emotions that we don't even realize when we do a physical detox. To share more about me (so you can appreciate my perspective) I am a closet emotional eater...not good by any means. And I've learned to manage my emotions, which in turn manages my eating habits. I'm a super clean eater...but when stress comes into the picture...look out...I'm opening the cabinet for that "fix"...if I've got enough will power to NOT open the cabinet...then I go through a whole metamorphis of emotions...depending on whether you experience this completely alone, with a life partner, friend or whatever, it's tough when you haven't 'conditioned" your brain or learn to manage it, it really likes to "have a mind of it's own"....damn! Who thought a brain could work without a body...It thinks it thinks it can, but we know better...anyway, I hope this makes sense, provides a little relief to your experience that you are not alone, nor are your cravings really all about the food....mind over matter! Who would have thunk? Be good to yourself, you deserve it! A few more days will do no harm and all good! (With Glen's approval!) :O)

      Delete
    4. Thank you very much for the response. I am an emotional eater and I have been unsuccessful at managing my mind and my emotions. Also I have had a lot of stressors in my life lately so it has been more of a challenge. This detox is just the start of my diet/life change and so far it has been the only detox I have been able to stay on for longer than a week without feeling sick and horrible. I need to figure out what is next for me.

      Delete
    5. Congrats on your progress with the Detox 360! I would suggest staying on the homeopathics as a minimum for you and assessing cross reactive food intolerance. The homeopathics would continue the subtle drainage and understanding your cross reactive food would define your nutritional choices moving forward. I would also share that learning some new tools to address stress are also very powerful. Let me know if you have any questions.

  34. I am a little over halfway through week 3..I, too, have not had that burst of energy. Looking forward to it though! I have been moving much slower. At gym, not able to do nearly as much as I was doing pre-detox. I am fine with it, though. Trying to listen to my body and give it what it needs. Getting a 90 min massage on Sat...Can't wait!!

  36. Earlier in the week, my gut really leaned out and I had much improved memory and mental function. The last couple of days I became bloated, mentally challenged and went through a day of diarrhea. Today everything is all good.

These are often typical results on a detox program. FYI

    1. I would suggest increasing your drainage remedies. If this alone does not work, you could cut back to one scoop of the Clearvite in each shake and only one of the Metacrin DX per day. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and take a daily Epsom salt bath.

  38. Upon completion of the program continue with all supplements until they are complete. Some may want to continue with some of the basics. Personally, my wife and I are going to continue with one Clearvite shake per day as a meal replacement and also continue with the drainage remedies.
