Results, results, results...

by Glen Depke, Traditional Naturopath

It is hard to believe but the 2014 six week "More Than Just Weight Loss" program is now complete. While we wait for the results of the completion assessments to come back, I have some results to share with you.

Here are the results of one of the participants to share with you and when the overall results
Before
are in, I will of course share these with you.

The person I will share with you today lost 10.5 pounds in body weight and 5 inches in their stomach. Yes, this was in 6 weeks. Not only was this in 6 weeks but there was no restriction on calories or how much food you can eat. Not only was the weight loss and inches lost a positive but the symptom improvement of 80% for this person is also such a significant factor.

For those that are not familiar with the "More Than Just Weight Loss" program, this is a program that covers all of the areas listed below.
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Establishing a healthy gut/brain connection
    After
  • Anti-parasitic, yeast and fungal
  • Gut rebuilding
  • Immune boosting
  • Liver detoxification
During this entire program you have a focus on reducing inflammation and boosting your immune system function. Added to this in the first week, you will assist in reestablishing the gut/brain connection. In weeks two and three you are also working on the anti-parasitic, anti-yeast and anti-fungal program while also reestablishing the gut lining. Finally in weeks three thru the end you are also focused on improving phase I and phase II liver detoxification. And remember as mentioned earlier in this paragraph, you are working on an anti-inflammatory and immune boosting protocol thru the entire program.

So what does this look like? Well, just take a look at the pictures and you can see for yourself. You may even wonder to yourself, was this person also working out like a fiend through the 6 weeks? Actually they shared that their exercise had actually dropped during this time, so these results are actually with less physical activity.

All of the protocols listed above are tied into supplemental programs but there is also a very important nutritional component to this program. As mentioned earlier, there are zero caloric and food quantity restrictions on the program but you are eliminated all of the highest potentially inflammatory foods during this time. You can not only eat as much as you want but you are instructed to not allow yourself to get overly hungry during this program.

The interesting factor for so many in the program is the experience of new food choices and recognizing how poorly you may react to food choices that you had made with consistency in the past. I actually talked to one of the program participants that shared that almonds are a very high reactive food, yet prior to the program, she ate them all the time and potentially in excess. So many of us are doing this on a regular basis and simply not understanding to inflammation, gut/brain issues, immune challenges and so much more that this is causing.

This program often creates some deep incites for its users that have the potential to last a lifetime. This is due to the fact that you create an awareness of what the food you eat is actually doing to you.

This years program was also a bonus because of the weekly blogs. If you want to review what was discussed during this time, feel free to type "2014 More Than Just Weight Loss" into the search box on this blog and you will have weeks 1 thru 6 come up as well as the completion blog. You'll see what we were eating through this time, some of our successes as well as some of the challenges that will also come up for some. I can also share that the blog for this is not only one of my favorite parts of this program but it is also invaluable to many of the program participants.

I also feel that it is important to share that results do vary from person to person. Many will have results greater than the subject today, but many will also have results that are not as high as today's example. But in the end, we always learn more about ourselves and we can move forward with this information in an empowering way. Just the other day I spoke with a program participant and we were discussing an actual lack of weight loss. This was relatively easy to pinpoint a heavy metal toxicity that was hindering the weight loss, which in turn provides this person with some very important next steps to be taken. Some people in the program found out that they have some very deep and chronic gut issues that will need further repair. Others realized that they likely have some serious adrenal challenges this need to be assessed, while others are now questioning their blood/brain barrier integrity. But you see, when we feel that we do not find success, yet you deepen your awareness of what is truly going on, this is still success and often success at the highest level.

These are all the reasons I am always so excited to offer this program every year. This year, I am going to leave the program open all year. The blogs will be ongoing for each week and the recorded webinars will always be available for new participants. This is simply too good to only let out only once per year. After all, it's almost swim suit weather!

Anyway, shouldn't we all have the opportunity for "More Than Just Weight Loss"?

Recognize that this is so much more than just weight loss though. If you are challenged with any of these health conditions below, this program is essential for you.

Your Reset Button!

by Glen Depke, Traditional Naturopath

Wouldn't it be nice if we could hit a reset button and most of the symptoms of our poor health choices could simply go away? Oh, and especially after all the stress, poor food choices, too much alcohol and too little sleep of the holidays. Heck, just over the Thanksgiving weekend I personally put on 10 pounds. Two Thanksgiving dinners, a birthday party and some alcohol at each was obviously a disaster. All with Christmas, traveling and New Years yet to arrive.

Yikes!

Well thankfully, there is a reset button and I hit it every year after this holiday mess. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the holidays. I love to be with people, the engagement with others, the yummy food and even the occasional Christmas margarita. It's really not a different margarita, just a homemade margarita made around Christmas time. LOL!

As you can imagine, this leaves me a mess just as it does the rest of you reading this article. So what do we do?

Hit the reset button!

For me this is the 6 week "More Than Just Weight Loss" program. I have done this the last 3 years in a row and I am already craving this time again. You may ask, why do I crave this and what is it all about?

First of all, most of us gain weight at this time of the year and while a percentage of this is fat, there is often a significant weight gain accompanying an increase in inflammation. The weight gain isn't even the biggest issue with weight gain, but the aches and pains of inflammation are actually the more significant challenge. In addition to weight gain and inflammation most of us are also dealing with a gut/brain issue due to the holidays. Eating intolerant foods, alcohol affecting your brain function, stress and your lack of sleep are all feeding the gut/brain issue.

Along with this immune system function takes a hit. This is due to a couple of factors. Number one is the fact that about 70 to 80% of your immune function actually originates in your gut, so when there is a gut/brain connection issue, there is an immune issue. Secondly tied into the inflammation, this chronic inflammation actually creates an immune dysregulation that can be scary. Scary because this can lead to multiple chemical sensitivities and the shut down of apoptosis, which long term can lead to cancer. Another factor that is huge for the immune function is the lack of sleep that leads to a weakened immune function also.

Lastly, how about our livers' screaming out at us after the holidays. Heck, daily living is enough of a stress on our liver. Throw some alcohol, stress, poor food and the typical response to dealing with a hangover are all so taxing to the liver. Ouch!

So in the end, you know what to do? Hit the reset button!

The 6 week "More Than Just Weight Loss" program really isn't even a weight loss program. Don't get me wrong, if you have inflammatory or fat weight to lose, this will happen, but the program is actually quite different. It is actually a  gut/brain supportive, immune building, liver detoxifying, anti-inflammatory program.

The first year I did this I lost 16.9 pounds, last year I lost about 12.4 (don't remember exactly) and this year I hope to lose about 9 or 10. But more important than the weight loss and the fact that my pants will be a bit more comfy and I will get back into the "skinny" pants again, I will feel amazing!

That's what feeds my drive for this 6 week program every year. I LOVE feeling amazing! Don't you?

Oxypower

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY EFFECT OF OXYPOWER

A new rat study shows that OxyPower has anti-inflammatory effects on the coronary artery and heart muscle tissue.

The introduction of a pathogen the body can induce C-reactive proten (CRP) production, which will attack endothelial cells of blood vessels, among others. This causes blood vessels to become inflamed, restricting blood flow. The inflammation can lead endothelial cells to break, causing scars and plaque. A similar mechanism occurs in heart muscle tissue when inflammation is present. This new study compares the effects of OxyPower and CoQ10 on inflammation in the coronary artery adn heart muscle tissue.
In the study, rats were divided into three groups: (A) Control group, (B) CoQ10 group, and (C) OxyPower group. The rats were injected with the pneumonia pathogen (bacteria) to induce inflammation. Groups B and C were given CoQ10 and OxyPower, respectively, for 7 consecutive days. Their effect on inflammation in the coronary artery (Figure 1) and heart muscle tissue (Figure 2) were then observed.

Inflammation was clearly evident in the control groups. Figure 1A shows the thickening in the coronary artery while the white sections in Figure 2A indicate inflammation. After 7 days of CoQ10 and OxyPower administration, inflammation in both the coronary artery and heart muscle is visibly reduced. Figures 1B and 2B show the anti-inflammatory effect of CoQ10. OxyPower has even more potent anti-inflammatory effect than CoQ10, clearly seen in the reduced thickness of the coronary artery (Figure 1C) as well as in the fewer white areas in the heart muscle (Figure 2C).

Featured Stories

An 84-year-old man from California had 100% blockage on his left carotid artery due to stenosis. From March to April 2012, he had 8 fainting spells despite taking Coumadin. Then he started taking OxyPower and he never had a fainting spell again.

P.C., a 64-year-old man from Arizona, had COPD. For months, he has been using an oxygen tank to breathe easier. He also uses a CPAP machine for sleep apnea. Then he started taking OxyPower. After only a day, his breathing has significantly improved. Two days later, he did not have to use the oxygen tank at all during the day and did not need the CPAP machine at night. He now feels much more energized.

Is Your Fat Really Fat?

by Glen Depke

While of course your fat is fat, but often what we think is fat is really inflammation. This inflammation not only looks bad on our bodies, it creates significant health challenges also.

Let's learn more about this non-fat fat, AKA, chronic inflammation.

Today is going to be rich in experience rather than rich in research. After all, results is what we are all looking for, right?

Well, here are my recent results.

I started taking two powerful supplements almost 2 months ago that I refer to as the Anti-Inflammatory Kings. To learn more about these click here.

Before I get into the supplements and my results, let me provide my starting point for you.

I have lived with 30 plus years of knee pain and inflammation. While I have found some relief over the years with the multitude of protocols I have used for this, same results. The most troublesome in my mind was the pain. A day on the golf course or a tough work out would place me in the expected pain response for the whole day. This was just life as I knew it.

The other more acute challenge was in regard to weight. I was still carrying some of the holiday habits into 2012 and I was about 20 pounds over my preferred weight. Of course I felt that this was 20 pounds of additional fat on my body.

About 2 months ago I added the two supplements Reservo Active and Tumero Active, which are the proclaimed Anti-Inflammatory Kings. One month into the use of the supplements, I also started the "More Than Just Weight Loss" program with my wife as well as a large committed group. This plan eliminates all potential inflammatory foods, while still providing you with ample allowable foods. The fun part is the fact that there is zero calorie or quantity restriction to the food list. So I could eat as much as I would want as long as I stay in the allowable food list.

Here I am just under 30 days after the start of the program and I can golf and workout in the same day, with no pain or inflammation. I honestly did not think this would ever be possible again.

Not only this but I have already lost 16 pounds, but I can guarantee it is not all fat. I would be willing to bet that I lost about 10 to 12 pounds of inflammation and about 4 to 6 pounds of body fat. There is no way you can eat this much food and loss so many inches on your body so quickly with fat loss. Not without starving yourself of course. Heck I can even wear more than just my "fat" pants now. You know what I mean...LOL!

This feels so good I just had to share an experience that you too can enjoy.

Obviously results may vary based on the longevity of your chronic health states, but the combination of the Anti-Inflammatory Kings as well as eliminating inflammatory foods, has changed my life.

Are you next?

The Anti-Inflammatory Kings

by Glen Depke

If you follow me regularly, you will recognize the recent focus on chronic inflammation. I have often discussed some supplements that have a powerful effect on kicking you out of the chronic inflammatory states the plague so many in our culture.

When I learned more about the chronic inflammatory cycles and the power these two supplements have over this I felt as if I had found the holy grail. It really was that powerful to me!

From a personal standpoint, to lose over 10 pounds of inflammation in my body and walk away from 3 decades of knee pain...need I say more?

Well, here they are Tumero Active and Reservo Active!

Reservo Active is designed to provide a concentrated source of resveratrol in an emulsified micronized structure with syringe delivery to support healthy immune mechanisms, gastrointestinal health, and cardiovascular health.‡

Tumero Active is designed to provide a concentrated source of curcumin in an emulsified micronized structure with syringe delivery to support healthy immune mechanisms, a normal biotransformation process, a healthy mucosal-induced immune response, and key antioxidants.‡

These emulsified liquid are approximately 4-6 times more potent that taking these in a capsule form and the synergy of the two supplements together provides a significant amplified benefit.

The challenge though, is that these are not available on- line...at least not legally. With this said, availability of these potential life altering supplements is limited to clients of Depke Wellness.

To create a non-committal entry into Depke Wellness, we are currently offering a complimentary 20 intro consultation. This is your avenue to find out more about the Depke Wellness protocols as well as information on these two powerful supplements. Register here for your complimentary session. This is limited to new clients only.

Is Inflammation Killing You?

by Glen Depke

I know that title is a bit extreme, but you know the old saying, when the shoe fits...

I know, we have been discussing inflammation quite a bit recently but sometimes you come across something so earth shattering that you simply cannot wait to share.

Well, this is one of those shares.

Before we get going, I will provide a brief review the inflammatory process and its affects on the body.

First of all inflammation is a positive response of a healthy immune system but this is without the added triggers and the assumption that all the factors tied into pro and anti-inflammatory processes are working properly. With that said, we can recognize that those with chronic illness generally do not fit in this category.

Most of us fit into the inflammatory process discussed here:
  • One of the many triggers that stimulate the receptors that initiate inflammation are present. These are some of the main triggers:
    • Mental/emotional stress
    • Nutritional stress
    • Infections
    • Chemotherapy
    • Obesity
    • Addiction
    • ...and more
  • The receptors initiate an NF-kB state which is a chronic inflammatory state
  • This NF-kB state induces an immune system response
  • This response can lead to (the more common are bold):
    • Cachexia or wasting syndrome which is a loss of weight, muscle atrophy, fatigue, weakness, and significant loss of appetite in someone who is not actively trying to lose weight
    • Adipocytes or fat/connective tissue cells that have differentiated and become specialized in the synthesis (manufacture) and storage of fat also known as chronic weight gain
    • Anorexia
    • Chronic Fatigue
    • Depression
    • Neuropathic pain
    • Anxiety
    • Cognitive impairment
    • Sleep disorders
    • Dellirium
    • ...and so much more
For years in my clinics, we have been addressing inflammatory challenges in the following ways:
  • Recognizing and removing the triggers that cause the inflammation, whether this be stress, nutritional, infection, obesity, addiction or other
  • Supporting adrenal function to allow proper production of the body's natural anti-inflammatory which is cortisol
  • Utilizing anti-inflammatory supplements such as omega 3 fatty acids as well as metabolic enzymes
While this and other factors provided a significant benefit for many clients over the years, there has still been that select few that are finding themselves extremely frustrated. These are the clients that are doing everything correct and still find themselves suffering the pain and discomfort of chronic inflammatory states.

Here's the kicker that is a new found knowledge for me.

While I have always know about chronic inflammatory states, better know in the industry as NF-kB states, what I did not realize is the feedback loops that these states create within themselves. Once you are in this chronic inflammatory state, the NF-kB has the ability to basically feed itself even if you remove all the triggers and basically do everything correctly.

There are feedback loops easily tied into weight gain, gut challenges, immune dysregulation, immune cell activation, poor liver function and so much more. Remember, these feedback loops often continue even if you are doing everything correctly and eliminate all your triggers.

OK, so what's a person to do with these chronic NF-kB states.

First of all it is still very important to eliminate as many of the triggers as possible and create some balance within your adrenal function. From here it is important to use the best available products to push yourself out of the feedback loops of the NF-kB state.

All the research points to two key ingredients to do the job. Those ingredients are curcumin and resveratrol. The resveratrol is such a powerful component within this cycle that drug companies are racing to create a synthetic to this compound so they can charge you and your insurance company the big bucks for what you can use right now for such a small cost.

Don't go running to the store though to pick these up in capsules.

While there may be a benefit for a select few of you, many that are deep in this state need something more potent that the capsules. There is a company that produces a emulsified liquid version of both the curcumin and resveratrol that is 4 - 6 times more potent than the capsule and understand that taking the combination of these together severely amplify the suppression of the NF-kB state.

Unfortunately this company does not allow me to sell these over the Internet, so there would have to be direct contact with Depke Wellness. If you would like to discuss the inflammatory programs used by Depke Wellness to stop the NF-kB state, you can call the office direct at 949.954.6226. We work with clients in office as well as via phone consultations.

With all this said, can you now understand the title, "Is Inflammation Killing You?"

If you have any comments or questions in regard to this article feel free to post these below for me to answer personally.

Inflammation and Immunity...Good or Bad?

by Glen Depke

Overall most of my clients will come in thinking that inflammation is bad and immune function is good. Based on what mainstream information tells us, this makes sense right?

Maybe, maybe not.

If you have inflammation, most have been taught to take an anti-inflammatory and/or use ice to reduce this. Even though this is the norm, get this...inflammation is a necessary component of a healing crisis and it is definitely a positive response. I would also add that inflammation is a sign that the immune system is doing its job.

As mentioned above, most will look at an immune system response as a very positive response, but that is not always the case. Understand that the immune system response as tied into inflammation occurs when the cells of the immune system are activated in response to antigens released during either acute of chronic inflammation. This is beneficial when antigens are neutralized but this can be severely detrimental if the underlying cause of the inflammation is not resolved.

So you can see that  an immune response is typically positive for you, but it can actually lead to further damage and inflammation. Often I see this poor response lead to autoimmune reactions and eventually full blown autoimmune disease. Understanding that autoimmune disease basically means tissue destruction.

When discussing the biochemistry of inflammation and immunity, these areas are at the top of my list.

During inflammation, these particular events are very common:
  • IgG enters the tissues and stimulates phagocytes to destroy detrimental bacteria
  • Eosinophils act to control allergies
  • Neutrophils release lysozyme to destroy detrimental bacteria
  • Mast cells "burst" and release histamine and serotonin as a defense mechanism against antigens bound to IgE that are attracted to mast cells
  • The end product of the inflammation process is often pus, which is comprised of dead tissue
I would also like to add that an excessive production of particular immune system chemicals can cause inflammation. These are:
  • Interleukin 1
  • Interleukin 6
  • Tumor necrosis factor-alpha
Let's take some time to address specific questions that I have received by followers of Depke Wellness in regard to immune function and inflammation.

Do anti-inflammatory drugs suppress immune function?

I would not say that this is a direct suppression but the immune function does suffer when taking anti-inflammatory drugs. This mechanism is tied into anti-inflammatory drugs such as NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) inhibit an enzyme which is involved in the production of other chemicals in your body. These chemicals allow the blood vessels around an infection to have an ease of permeability for the movement of immune system components such as white blood cells. This allows the ease of immune function to the active site of the infection. With this understanding, the inflammatory response is significantly reduced this suppressing the immune response at this infection location.

Is the immune system like a battery or an engine?

Great question. I always say the immune response is a mechanism but to be honest with you, it is also the battery and the engine. The immune system is such a complex system that involves an immense quantity of components. Here are some of the most significant components of the immune system.
  • Thymus
  • Spleen
  • Lymph system
  • Bone marrow
  • White blood cells
  • Antibodies
  • Complement systems
  • Hormones
Collectively this shows the synergy of the mechanism, battery and engine, per your question.

Do you store up immunity or use it as needed?

The answer here is both. Even if we just looked the the different types of white blood cells, you would recognize the some may last only a few hours, some a few days or some months or even years. Thankfully the immune system is in a constant state of regeneration but I will expand on this deeper with the question below.

Is immune function always available in varying amounts based on your overall health?

Your question here actually answers this perfectly. As long as you are alive immune function is available, but this is going to vary based on each persons focus on health and wellness as well as genetic capabilities. Recognize that two people can be exposed to the same pathogen, in the same amounts, yet respond so differently. The healthier individual will likely have a very strong immune response, move through the challenge rather quickly and likely eliminate the pathogen with ease. The less healthy individual may take a considerably longer duration of time to overcome or if their vitality is too low, they may not even have a strong enough immune response to overcome the pathogen. This would stall the healing crisis and lead to a chronic disorder.

What the Heck is Glutathione?

by Glen Depke

Really, what the heck is glutathione?

I know you have all heard that a picture is worth one thousand words, so all you have to do is look at the pictue to the right here and you will see what glutathione really is. Let me guess, this did you know good whatsoever? I get that seeing the element formula for glutathione does most no good at all.

So what would help?

Maybe a definition? OK, here you go. Glutathione is a sulfur containing, water soluble endogneous tripeptide composed of 3 amino acids. I get it, still no help.

Instead of looking at the elements or getting into a scientific definition, let's look at this simply. Glutathione is a primary anti-oxidant that is produced in your body that actually enhances the benefit of every other anti-oxidant. In my practice I focus on glutathione levels to significantly improve auto-immune issues, inflammatory challenges, gut barrier breakdown, blood/brain barrier breakdown, chronic pain and so much more. Understand that this ties into so much more. Beside for my focus in my clinic, here is a list of  function that depend on adequate glutathione levels.
  • Anti-aging
  • Cardiovascular health
  • Cell regeneration
  • Digestive issues
  • Kidney function
  • Eyes/vision
    • Prevent cataracts
    • Recovery of eye surgery
  • Protects hair follicles
  • Immune system
  • Metabolism
  • Nervous system function
    • Alzheimer's
    • Depression
    • Parkinson's
    • Schizophrenia
  • Enhances absorption of essential minerals
  • Natural detoxifier
  • Protection against damages due to aspirin and NSAIDs
  • Protection against the damage due to alcohol consumption
  • Protection against the toxic effects of smoking
With this said, I trust that you understand the importance of adequate glutathione levels in your body.

Let's now discuss what inhibits the production of glutathione. First of all cooking destroys all glutathione levels in your foods and it is also important to understand that glutathione is basically unavailable bio-chemically as a supplement.

Here is a list of substances that interfere with glutathione.
  • Cadmium deficiency
  • Excessive copper and iron
  • Hydrogen peroxide destroys glutathione
  • Excessive consumption of polyunsaturated fatty acids
  • Helicobacter pylori
  • Mercury toxicity
  • Aspirin and NSAID use
  • Excessive sun exposure
  • Intense exercise or endurance exercise
  • Alcohol consumption
  • Severe stress
So what is a person to do? Glutathione is so important, much of what we do in life depletes our bodies ability to produce glutathione and it is so poorly absorbed as a supplement. My recommendation is to increase the nutrients needed to produce glutathione which is N-acetyl cysteine and L-glutamine. There are also other ingredients that enhance this production. I also recommend using a cream for vascular absorption of glutathione. I find that the combination of increasing the underlying nutritional components as well as the vascular cream goes a long way in substantially increasing your glutathione levels.

Feel free to leave a post below if you have any comments or questions on this subject or you can call my office directly at 949.954.6226.

Is Inflammation Really at the Core of Everything?

by Glen Depke

Inflammation is the buzz word these days. It does not matter what direction you turn, it seems that everyone is saying that inflammation is the core of everything.

Let's look at this a bit deeper.

Saying that inflammation is the problem is like saying cholesterol causes heart attacks. Another subject in itself.

First it is important to recognize the inflammation is a natural part of the healing process. When the need presents itself you truly want inflammation to assist in this process. The challenge though, is when the inflammation is no longer an acute reaction and this becomes chronic. This is when inflammation becomes a challenge. The chronic inflammation can lead to an autoimmune reaction in your body and eventually lead to tissue destruction. Yes, that means your body attacks itself. Sound like this comes out of a science fiction thriller. The invasion of the inflammatory body destroyers. It's not far from the truth.

So why does inflammation become chronic? There are many reasons for this but let's discuss a few.

While there are many functions of your body, recognize that your adrenal glands produce the hormone cortisone. Cortisone is your body's natural anti-inflammatory. So with this in mind, if your adrenals are exhausted, can you see that this may lead to chronic inflammation? Remember from past posts that most of the clients I have seen over the years have some level of adrenal exhaustion. When I say most, I actually mean about 98%. So on some level this lack of adrenal balance is impacting inflammatory states.

The other area of challenge is your body's immune function. When your immune system has been challenged long term, this leads to an imbalance in what is called your eNOS and iNOS. The eNOS response is an anti-inflammatory response while the iNOS response is pro-inflammatory. Long term immune system imbalances lead to an iNOS response and further inflammation.

So why would the immune system be so challenged? How about the fact that almost 80% of your immune system actually originates in your gut and the fact that most health challenged individuals have significant gut issues. This in and by itself can and does lead to inflammatory states. If you want to balance your immune function, you have to fix the gut!

The other tie into inflammation is the direct relationship that your brain has with the gut and the immune function. About 90% of your brain function finds its way through the Vagus nerve and into the gut. As your gut goes, so goes the brain and likewise. Many times a person will have a brain issue that shows up as a gut symptom or a gut issue that shows up as a brain symptom. The one aspect that is real for both of these is the fact that either or both will affect your immune function. Remember that this will lead to further inflammatory issues.

So what do you do with this information?

Unfortunately there are many that will do nothing, or potentially even worse, they will focus on anti-inflammatory drugs that may have an effect on the inflammation, but nothing in regard to the underlying cause. The thought behind this is that the problem is the inflammation, when truly the inflammation is just your body's reaction to the problem.

If you want to address the inflammation at the core follow these steps.
  • Get your fundamentals of health in order
  • Eliminate any foods that create an intolerance for you
  • Eat according to your Nutritional ID
  • Add an omega 3 fatty acid such as Krill-plex to your diet
  • Test your adrenal function and address this accordingly
  • Address and GI dysfunction
  • Balance your immune function
  • Heal the aging brain
From a nutritional perspective you can do some things quickly that has the potential to make a significant difference.

First assess Gluten Intolerance. Once you go to the Gluten Intolerance page on DepkeWellness.com, go to the bottom of the page and take the questionnaire to assess this challenge for yourself. If you find that you are somewhat likely or very likely gluten intolerant I would eliminate this for at least 60 days. There is also a Gluten Foods in categories list for you to review for free.

I would also suggest that you add a quality omega 3 supplement to your diet. When you are deficient in omega 3s this can create and inflammatory state. I recommend Krill-plex for my clients as well as use this personally in my home.

If inflammation is a challenge for you, feel free to register for a FREE phone consultation with me personally to understand the life altering anti-inflammatory protocols used by Depke Wellness.

As always, feel free to leave a comment below if you have any questions. I will answer this for you personally.

Krill-Plex Supplement

Krill-plex is a unique source of omega-3 fatty acids, phospholipids and antioxidants; for menstrual comfort, heart health, joint support, cognitive function and skin health

Krill oil is unique in that it offers a naturally occurring complex of omega-3 and omega- 6 fatty acids, phospholipids and astaxanthin. This phospholipid-fatty acid molecule closely resembles that of human brain phospholipids, providing potential support for cognitive function The essential fatty acids in krill oil may also mediate hormone, prostaglandin, and neurotransmitter function to support menstruating women. A double blind, randomized clinical trial suggested that krill oil promoted physical and emotional well being during the menstrual cycles of women volunteers. Krill oil also provides an ideal essential fatty acid balance for healthy cardiovascular and platelet function. A prospective phase II randomized, double blind, clinical trial suggested that krill oil supports healthy lipid, triglyceride and glucose metabolism. A prospective controlled pilot clinical trial reported that krill oil supplementation helped promote joint flexibility and comfort. In addition, a randomized, controlled pre-clinical trial investigated the effects of krill oil on skin health and reported that it supports the body's natural defenses against the sun and environment.

Krill oil naturally contains a highly bioavailable essential fatty acidphospholipid complex and antioxidants, providing optimal support for menstrual comfort, cardiovascular function and cognitive, joint and skin health.

I would recommend ordering the 120 count bottle which will last you four months.
